Under the direction of Dr. Matthew Draelos, board certified in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism, this highly qualified team is devoted to helping patients achieve a better quality of life through control of obesity and other chronic metabolic diseases.
The Draelos Metabolic Center weight loss team includes diabetes counselors, nutrition experts, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, sonographers and laboratory technicians. Patients at Draelos Metabolic Center receive counseling and care from all team members.
The Draelos Metabolic Center is a direct outgrowth of Dr. Draelos’ belief that patients deserve the most advanced and specialized medical care available in their struggle with all metabolic diseases, including overweight and obesity.
Dr. Draelos has been in private practice in the Oklahoma City metro area for more than 12 years. Previously he served on the medical faculties at Harvard Medical School and the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine.
Matthew Draelos, M.D. is Board Certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. He has devoted his professional career to helping his patients control and live with a variety of chronic metabolic and hormonal diseases.
The Draelos Metabolic Center is a direct outgrowth of his belief that patients deserve both specialized and the most advanced medical care in dealing with metabolic diseases, including obesity.

Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator Jennifer Allen is an integral part of the DMC team, providing patient counseling in all areas of diabetes self-management and weight loss/management. She also provides patient training on the correct use of insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors, plus develops patient education materials for weight-loss plans and diabetes management. Finally, she coordinates patient care with other healthcare providers and manages the clinic’s dietary supplement purchasing and inventory.
|Kathryn graduated from the University of South Alabama for both of her programs of study. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2006 and completed her Master of Science in Nursing in 2010. Kathryn is originally from the Gulf Coast of Alabama, but relocated with her family earlier this year. She and her husband have four children if you include their loving and devoted dogs|
|Kevan graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Exercise Science. He continued his education at Wichita State University and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Kevan has specialized in endocrinology and has specific interests in thyroid disorders, diabetes, and testosterone therapy. He is originally from Kansas, but is now an Oklahoma City resident and rabid Thunder fan.
